Multi-Tab Document View

IceViewer supports opening multiple documents in the same application window using document tabs.

When multiple documents are opened, each document appears on a separate tab below the ribbon. The name of the opened document is displayed on its tab.

IceViewer can open different supported document types at the same time, with each document displayed on its own tab.

To switch between opened documents, click the desired document tab. Each document remains open while switching between tabs, allowing users to quickly work with multiple documents in the same IceViewer window.

Changes made in one document tab apply only to that document. Each opened document maintains its own modifications independently, so editing, annotating, or otherwise modifying one document does not affect the other opened documents.

Modified Documents

When changes are made to a document, IceViewer indicates on the document tab that the document contains unsaved changes.

After the document is saved, the unsaved-change indicator is removed.

Closing Document Tabs

To close the current document, click the X button on the document tab

If the document contains unsaved changes, IceViewer prompts the user to save the changes before closing it.

When closing IceViewer while multiple document tabs are open, the following dialog is displayed:

Click Close All Tabs to close all opened documents and exit IceViewer.

Click Close Current Tab to close only the currently selected document and keep the remaining documents open.

Enable Always close all tabs to automatically close all document tabs when closing IceViewer without displaying this dialog.

The default document opening behavior can be configured under IceViewer Options > General.
