Differences for Windows Desktop and Server

The automatic update default configuration is different on Windows Desktop and Windows Server computers after installation.

On desktops, the update is enabled by default by the InstallShield installers.

On desktops, if one uses an MSI installer, the update is enabled by an MSI command.

On desktops, if one uses an MSI installer in interactive mode, the update feature is disabled.

On servers, the update is enabled by default by the InstallShield installers.
