The first attempt to install the driver went wrong. After running the setup program again it says "Do you want to completely remove." but the printer driver never seems to be removed. Is there anything that can be done to manually remove the printer driver?

If the installation fails, the most likely reason is that the Install Shield does not remove a key from the registry during the uninstallation. When running the installation for the second time, the Install Shield finds the key and the Install Shield becomes stuck in an uninstall-loop.

The solution is to remove the following registry key, for example, for the Monochrome printer driver:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

{2E03E938-BA63-40A3-A505-57864FFDB871}

This allows the application to reinstall and remove the driver completely.
