Using a Domain User for Shared Network Directory Monitoring

One can configure the FileFlow Service to run under a Domain User, instead of the Local Administrator.

NOTE: The Domain User must be a member of the Local Administrators.

To add the Domain User to the Local Administrators, go to the Control Panel > User Accounts > Manage another account.

Double-click (or Add) the Domain User you would like to use with the FileFlow Service, and click on the Change account type button.

Uninstall and reinstall the FileFlow Service using the Domain User. For more information, please see the Service Settings section.

From now on, one can monitor network shared directories with the FileFlow Service based on Monitor Shared Network Directory using UNC Path or Monitor Mounted Network Drive sections.

NOTE: The configured Domain User must have read/write access to the shared folder.
