Document Imaging SDK 12.50 is released!

New OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functions

Black Ice Software's Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX version 12.50 includes new OCR functions to convert Tiff, Image PDF, Faxes, and Scanned documents into editable and searchable text format and also includes stability improvements for PDF documents.

With the new OCR functions implemented in the latest Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX version 12.50 and Document Imaging Sample, developers can OCR single and multipage documents and even selected areas on a document's page. Also, the latest Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX includes updated documentation to help the developers take advantage of every feature of the OCR functions and methods that have been implemented.

The latest release of the Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX also includes improved PDF document handling.

The complete list of improvements in the latest Black Ice Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX 12.50 includes the following:

  • Added BiOCR.DLL and BiOCR.OCX
  • Added OCR functions and methods
