Black Ice Software is proud to announce the release of the TIFF Viewer with version 12.75 with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge Browsers Extensions to view TIFF files on the web.

The TIFF Viewer Chrome and Edge Browser Extensions are ideal for viewing, editing, OCRing, and printing single page or multipage TIFF documents in Medical applications, Faxes and to view tiff files on the web. Some of the other many features available include different page views like fit to page, fit to width and normal view, adjustable zoom modes, rotation, panning, magnifying glass, and save the tiff document as a PDF file.

The OCR is a unique feature from Black Ice Software for Browser Extensions. OCR the full document or just select an area on the Tiff File and use Ctrl-c to OCR and copy the text to Clipboard. These OCR features are great for users processing documents and having to enter information into a database or ERP application as they can now simply copy and paste the text.

Next year on August 17th 2021, Microsoft will end support for Internet Explorer 11 across its Microsoft 365 apps and Microsoft's online services like Office 365. Black Ice Software will continue support for the Internet Explorer 11 Browser Plug-in for existing medical applications. The Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge Browsers Extension technology is based on Java Script and completely different technology than Internet Explorer 11 ActiveX control based Browser plug-in.

For large scale deployment with the MSI Installers, one has to explicitly specify to install the Chrome and Microsoft Edge Browsers Extensions.

With Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) reaching End of Life, it is no longer consider to be HIPAA compliant. The Black Ice Tiff Viewer is capable of viewing, editing and printing scanned/faxed TIFF images and other image types, resulting in an ideal substitute for MODI. When paired with the Black Ice Printer Drivers users can convert any file format to Tiff, PDF and more. The evaluation copy of both solutions is fully functional for 15 days with free priority technical support during your evaluation.
