Black Ice Software is proud to announce the release of the TIFF Viewer version 12.67 to display Wang annotations and many more.

The Wang annotations can be saved in an easy to use XML format in an external file or in the TIFF header for further processing or easy conversion to other annotation format.

The Wang annotation was popular with Microsoft “Imaging for Windows” or some third parties Tiff Viewing applications such as Global 360 and Open Text applications.
The Wang annotation feature enables business to move from their old legacy applications to the Black Ice Tiff Viewer.

The reading and converting of Wang annotations will also be added in the upcoming release of the Document Imaging SDK that will enable customers to quickly convert millions of documents from Wang annotations to Simple XML format.

With Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) reaching End of Life, it is no longer consider to be HIPAA compliant. The Black Ice Tiff Viewer is capable of viewing, editing and printing scanned/faxed TIFF images and other image types, resulting in an ideal substitute for MODI. When paired with the Black Ice Printer Drivers users can convert any file format to Tiff, PDF and more.
