The Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX 12.78 from Black Ice Software has been released with a significantly improved Advance Printing that also resolved some irregularity when using RDP connection to print multipage Tiff and Fax documents. The Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX 12.78 also now includes fixes for printing images larger than the destination page size.

The latest release also includes the updated Tesseract OCR engine version 4.1 which provides more accurate recognition of OCR data on the document and faster performance. In addition the Tesseract OCR engine includes countless bug fixes.

The Document Imaging SDK now includes a new function to Create PDF file in memory, bypassing the local hard disk. Developers can call a PDF file from the database and stream the file to local browser, opening the Image PDF file in memory to be viewed, read, and edited. The file can then be written back to the database with zero foot print on the local system hard disk. This is a critical addition for anyone to develop HIPAA compliant webserver based applications.

The Document Imaging SDK/ActiveX 12.78 is a CRITICAL UPDATE for those customers who are using Advance printing ActiveX control and OCR documents.
