With the BiLPDManager users can receives print files from UNIX, Linux, MAC, AS400 and Solaris systems and print them to Windows physical and virtual printers. Black Ice Software has now released version 2.17 of the BiLPDManager which includes the ability to run the BiLPDManager as a Windows Service.

When running as a Windows Service, the BiLPDManager can monitor the queues, and process the incoming print jobs without any user interaction, even when the user is currently logged off. This new feature minimizes downtime while reducing required intervention by system administrators.

The latest BiLPDManager also comes with a new MSI Installers for large scale deployment in Active Directory environments.

The latest MSI installer no longer requires Activation of the BiLPDManager during installation with a purchased serial number. The BiLPDManager can now be installed using the MSI installer for Evaluation and Testing and later be activated with a serial number. This allows system administrators to test deployment and configure the MSI Installer prior to ever obtaining a license.
