Why Can’t I Use Multiple Instances of Message Capture at the Same Time?
If multiple Message Capture samples are running at the same time on the same machine, only one instance is getting messages from the printer driver. This is normal behavior, because the Message Capture sample doesn’t send forward messages, so the second Message capture won’t get any message from the printer driver. Let’s see the following situation on an XP operating system: User1 starts the PIPE Message Capture Sample, and switches to User2. If User2 prints, all messages are received to User1 instead of User2. User2 will only get messages if User1 closes the PIPE Message Capture Sample first.
