I cannot print from Microsoft Visio. If the print button is pressed or the print option is selected, the document will not be printed to the Black Ice printer.
If I bring up the print window and change the printer (even to the same Black Ice printer), the document will be printed correctly.
There is no perfect solution for this issue. This problem is caused by the Visio application.
The application is using devmode saved in the document. If the document was created using another default printer, Visio will use the other printer’s devmode when it prints to the Black Ice printer, and the printing fails. When the user changes the printer, Visio loads the devmode from the “new” printer and uses that.
However, if the document is created when the Black Ice printer is the default printer, the document is printed correctly.
Set the Black Ice printer as the default printer when creating new Visio documents.

For existing documents, perform the following steps:
1. Set the Black Ice printer as the default printer.
2. Open the existing Visio document.
3. Open the print window and change the printer in the printer selection combo box.
4. Save the document.
