Normally, Black Ice Printer Manager is removed automatically when the last non-OEM printer driver is uninstalled from the system. Some cases can occur when the Printer Manager is not uninstalled with the printer driver, therefore, it must be deleted manually.
This section describes how to manually remove Black Ice Printer Manager from the system.
1. Delete agent printers.
First of all, delete the previously created agent printers if there are any:
1. Open Printer Manager.
2. Go to Agent Printers tab.
3. Delete all agent printers.
2. Delete the files of Printer Manager.
Delete the folder of the Printer Manager. This folder is usually the following: C:\Program Files\Black Ice Software LLC\Black Ice Printer Manager. The target folder of the Printer Manager can be read in the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Black Ice Software LLC\Printer Manager. The TargetDir value contains the full path of the Printer Manager directory. Delete this folder with all files and subfolders.
3. Delete the desktop shortcut and start menu item.
1. Delete the shortcut of Printer Manager on the desktop if it exists.
2. Delete the start menu item: All Programs > Black Ice Printer Manager
4. Remove registry key.
Remove the following registry key:
· On 32 bit machines:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Black Ice Software LLC\Printer Manager
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Black Ice Software LLC\Printer Manager
· On 64 bit machines:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Black Ice Software LLC\Printer Manager
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Black Ice Software LLC\Printer Manager
When these steps are taken, Black Ice Printer Manager is manually removed from the system.
