This section provides details on using the Black Ice printer drivers to create faxable image files for fax hardware from a specific fax board manufacturer.
GammaLink Fax Boards
In order to generate images for the GammaFax board, use the following settings in Printing Preferences:
File Format = “Tiff Group 3. 1 Dimension with Fillbits”
Paper Size =“Fax Paper” or “Create faxable Image” checkbox checked.
Graphic Resolution = “Fine FAX Resolution” or “Standard FAX Resolution”
At this point the DPI setting has to be 204 x 98 or 204 x 196.
NOTE: The Reverse Bit Order checkbox must be checked.
Dialogic Fax Boards
The driver settings for Dialogic fax boards:
File Format = “Tiff Group 3. 1 Dimension with Fillbits”
Paper Size =“Fax Paper” or “Create faxable Image” checkbox checked.
Graphic Resolution = “Fine FAX Resolution” or “Standard FAX Resolution”
At this point the DPI setting has to be 204 x 98 or 204 x 196.
NOTE: The Reverse Bit Order checkbox must be checked.
Bicom Fax Board
The printer driver settings must be the following:
File Format = “Tiff Group 3 1 Dimension with Fillbits”
Paper Size =“Fax Paper” or “Create faxable Image” checkbox checked.
