Specifying the File Format

Click on the File Format list box to select the output image file type for the driver. Click on the down arrow to scroll through the available selections.

The current selections are:

• JPEG

• JPEG L*a*b color space (for Color Faxing)

• GIF Image Format

• PNG Image format

• TIFF with JPEG Compression

• TIFF CCITT Group 3 1D compression

• TIFF CCITT Group 3 2D compression

• TIFF CCITT Group 4 compression

• TIFF Uncompressed

• Cisco TIFF

• Dialogic TIFF

• NMS TIFF

• Brooktrout TIFF

• HTML (editable)

• HTML with JPEG

• HTML with GIF

• HTML with PNG

• HTML with BMP

• XML (editable)

• XML with GIF

• XML with PNG

• XML with JPEG

• XML with BMP

• Microsoft Bitmap format

• PCX Image Format

• PNG Image Format

• Intel DCX Image Format

• IBM IOCA

• IBM IOCA in MO:DCA

For certain file formats additional settings can be specified:

• TIFF Settings

• JPEG Settings

• XML Settings

• HTML Settings

Please note: Certain file formats are special fax file formats e.g TIFF for NMS boards or TIFF for Gammalink. When these special fax formats are selected, the Black Ice printer driver will automatically select the Create Faxable Image option on the Device Settings tab as well as select 204 x 196 DPI fax resolution. Once a non-fax file format is selected after selecting a fax format, this ‘Create faxable image’ option on the Device setting tab should be unchecked.
