Use this option to generate the output file in memory instead of creating a file on the disk. The printer driver will create the file in memory and then pass the data to the user’s application which can save or process the image. To capture the generated output file in memory, one can use the Memory Image Capture Sample in the Resource Toolkit. This feature is designed for system integrators to capture printed outputs directly into a database, bypassing the local storage (file system.)
When this option is enabled, the printer driver does not generate a group file, and the text extraction and mail merge features are also disabled.
Disable output file
Check this option to disable the output file generation setting of the driver. This can be useful when the ‘Generate Text Output’ radio button is checked for text output and the image file is not needed. As a result, the driver will only generate a text file, no other output file will be generated.
Unicode/Eastern char. Support
When this option is checked, the driver will interpret the contents of strings printed using the TextOut function as two-byte glyph indexes. This is necessary to correctly print characters of most non-US (Chinese, Japanese, etc.) versions of Windows 11/10. In this case, the characters printed are not valid one-byte ASCII values. The driver cannot save text files of any kind, therefore the Generate Text Output, Add font information, position and style, and Mail Merge options will be disabled.
Remove blank pages
If the Remove blank pages option is enabled, the Printer Driver will remove blank pages from the printed document.
If the document that is printed is a single blank page, there will be no output file generated by the printer driver.
