Black ice imaging and image processing tools provide an easy way to print images in single or multiple print jobs with a wide variety of options.
When printing, today’s applications not only want to create a paper copy of an image file but also want to specify the way in which the image will be printed. The image has to be positioned on the paper according to a predefined location, printed with its original size or stretched to a specific size. Some applications even require printing more than one image on the same page so the amount of paper wasted would be minimal.
Black Ice tools provide the answer for all the above requirements:
Print one or more images from one or more image files as either a single or multiple print jobs.
Print all the images from a multi-page image file in one single print job.
Display a printer selection dialog where the user can select the printer and change settings that affect the printing process.
Specify how an image is printed. An image can be printed based on the printer’s DPI, the image’s DPI, resized to a specific size, stretched to fit the width of the paper, or stretched to fit the height of the paper.
Specify the position of the image on the paper.
Specify the orientation of the image.
Change printer specific settings like paper size, resolution, etc.
Print more than one image on to the same page.
Print the same image tiled multiple times to a single page.
Have direct access to the printer’s device context to send additional GDI commands to the printer. This feature is useful when other like texts, lines, highlights, etc are also needed to be printed to the page where the image is printed.
