Fax Broadcasting - Which Format Is Right for Me?

Impact Fax Broadcast can fax in three different formats, two monochrome (Black and White) and one color.  Each will result in different transmission times and image quality.  The higher the resolution the more data is transmitted and thus a longer transmission time will result.

Monochrome – Standard Fax – 204x98 DPI

Standard Fax Resolution will yield the fastest transmission time since you are sending the least amount of data.  If you are sending large volume fax broadcasts and or need to reach your recipients in the shortest possible time frame sending in Standard Fax Resolution will help you accomplish this.

Monochrome – Fine Fax - 204x196 DPI

Fine Fax is also black and white but will yield a sharper fax image than standard.  The transmission time will be approximately twice as long as standard resolution.  Use this resolution when you want to broadcast faxes that are easily read but still desire rapid transmit times.

Color – 200x200 DPI

Color faxing allows you to transmit full color, eye-catching marketing pieces or transmit photos or charts for greater impact or better communication.  Color faxing requires more information to be transmitted and as such will require more time to send each fax.  Color faxing is best when color information is more important than fax speed.  While it does take longer than black and white faxing, the impact on the recipient when they receive your full color advertisement or announcement may be well worth the speed tradeoff.
