Shared printer doesn’t trigger “Start Application” on the host

  Printer Drivers

Description:
While printing to a shared printer on the client the “Start Application” option doesn’t launch my application on the host.

Solution:
Please note that when you print from a shared printer, the started application (on the host) will run in Session 0, therefore no popup windows or message boxes can be displayed or will be displayed. This is the reason why the started application which tries to display a window opens in the interactive services window.

The interactive services detection service should run on the host.
