Impact Fax™ From Web is a new Sales and Marketing automation tool and a traditional Fax-On-Demand system activated from the Web page to deliver information. By accessing the corporate Web Site via Intranet, customers can receive faxed documents by simply checking off items from a checklist. Impact Fax On Demand differentiates itself from existing products with some unique features. How Does Impact™ Fax From Web Send Faxes?

You need a Web Browser to access the Web Site and the Fax On Demand Web Page. On the Fax On Demand Web Page you select documents from a list, fill in your fax number and E-Mail address for notification. With the click of a button, the requested information is sent. You will receive an E-Mail notification that reports the status of the fax.

Which Web Servers Are Supported?

Any Web Server that supports CGI (Common Gateway Interface).

Does the Web and the Fax Server need to be on the same computer?

No, the Web and Fax Server can be at entirely different locations. The Fax Server must have an IP address and a TCP/IP connection to the Intranet or Internet. For example, the Web Server can run on a UNIX system and the Fax Server can run on Win95 or NT.

Does Impact Fax™ From Web use the Internet to send faxes?

No, the faxes are sent from the Web Server which the user is connected. The page appears to be normal, you do not realize the server transfer is made, yet the Impact Fax™ From Web function has been selected, the information is sent and the process is complete.

What kind of fax modem is needed?

The Impact Fax™ technology is based on Black Ice Software's Fax Development Tools. The developer can start out with a single off-the-shelf modem, such as Hayes, and later add more fax hardware without any modifications to its software. The Impact Fax™ Server supports any Class 1, Class 2, Class 2.0, Brooktrout, or GammaLink hardware.

Does Impact Fax™ From Web provide any security?

To block out specific telephone numbers, the Impact Fax™ From Web comes with telephone number blocking capability.

Is there a billing function available?

Yes, an ISP provider can set up billing for Fax Back Services for their clients.
