Sample C# code for FAX C++ API needed please

Is there sample code of driving the FAX C++ from C# or VB.NET. There are samples for using the OCX, but I will be running a windows service that deliveres faxes. I see the C++ sample projects but don't know C++ well enough to modify and use the sample C++ code.

The Fax C++/ActiveX toolkit includes sample applications written in both C# and VB .NET. These samples are located in the Sample Source Codes\DotNet folder of the Fax C++/ActiveX installation. These samples use the Fax.OCX control.

I am aware of the ocx examples. I need an example of using the API's directly (not the OCX) as I need to wrap your fax functionality in a windows service.

Is it true that if I use the Fax API (not the OCX) that I will not be able to get events from Black Ice about an individual fax's success or failure?
