Blackice Fax Toolkit v11.10 & US-Robotics USR5633A USB modem

We use the Blackice Fax Toolkit v.11.10 in our Faxing product and have been getting reports from customers that use the USR5633A USB modem from US-Robotics, saying that the COM port shows as closed to our software. This issue did not occur in the previous version of our product, where we used the 10.x versions of the toolkit.

Basically what happens, is that the port for this modem shows as closed, even when the modem should show as idle/available. Windows can query the modem properly and we were able to dial out with phone dialer/ hyperterminal.

Is there a known compatibility issue with the Blackice Fax Toolkit v11.10 and the US Robotics USR5633A USB modems?

We have not got any known compatibility issue with the US Robotics modems. Your problem may happen when you are not using our software with the latest US Robotics drivers.

I am also having problems with the USR5633A modem. I have the lastest drivers installed. All of the demo tools seem to have trouble using this modem. The C++ OpenComPorts.exe is the only one that successfully opens the modem port. All of the ReceiveFax demos have trouble as well. The process appears to finish, but the fax image cannot be saved. I have tried this with the 11.10 and 12.50 versions. Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

How to setup 2 different fax machine on the same line? I have two different faxes that I would like to link to the same phone line. I have a different number with a special ring on my phone line for faxes. At the moment, with one machine, it's working. But I am trying to add my second fax machine and it doesn't seem to work anymore. The sending part works, it's the receving part that is a problem.
