East Asia characters shown as question marks in group file

Postby jie.zhao » Mon Sep 12, 2011 5:16 pm

This post is more like a bug report.

I have a file whose file name consists of East Asia characters (e.g. 简体中文.txt). After printing the file with black ice printer driver, the group file will look like:

......
Document name=??????
......

Apparently, the East Asian characters are parsed into question marks. Could you please let us know if it is fixed in the recent release or will be fixed in the future. Thanks.

http://blackice.com/Help/Tools/PrinterD ... format.htm

Home > Black Ice Printer Driver Resource Toolkit > Installation/Uninstallation - Create printer driver installation > The Printer Driver INI File > Description of the INI file values

In the printer driver ini file looking for these lines under the Default Settings section and change to this:

;Set this value to 1 if you want to create UNICODE group file
UNICODE Group File=1

After you modified the ini file please go to printing preferences and press Restore Defaults
