Can PDF text be extracted by the EMF printer?

Hi,
I have a virtual printer with the
"EMF Capture Driver Version 6.18 for NT/2000/XP based systems, Black Ice Software, Inc."

The text of *.doc, *.rtf, *.htm etc can be extracted by this driver. The printed text is very clear.

However, the text of *.pdf can not be extracted. All pages of the pdf file should be only printed as "graphic (4 grayscale)"
So the graphized text is not clear.

Can PDF text be extracted by the EMF printer?
Or it is impossible because of the post script format of PDF file?

This would depend on the PDF file. Some PDF's will contain text that can be read, but for the most part newer PDF's contain Glyph information for the text in the document, and this can not be read by the Black Ice Printer Driver.

Will a newer Black Ice Printer Driver support the extract the "Glyph information for the text in the document" in the future?
Any schedule or any other proper solution about this topic?
