Error 1722 when installing Black Ice Products

Postby TechnicalSupportTeam » Tue Jul 29, 2014 6:10 am

I certain cases, at the end of the install process Error code: 1722 and Error code: 2 is displayed and the Black Ice product is not installed on the system.

Error 1722 can occur when the Spooler service is not running on the system. To solve the problem, please make sure that the Spooler is running.

Starting Spooler service:
The Spooler can be started by opening the Command Prompt with administrative privileges and issuing the "net start spooler" command.

In case the Spooler is started successfully the following message will be displayed:
"The Print Spooler service is starting.
The Print Spooler service was started successfully."

In case the Spooler is already running, the following message will be displayed:
"The requested service has already been started."

Once the Spooler service is up and running, please try to install the Black Ice Product again.

1 Open the Services Snap-In. (Server 2008 R2: Click Start, in the Start Search box,
type services.msc, and then press Enter. Server 2012: Click Start,
type services.msc, and then press Enter.)

2 Find the Print Spooler, right-click the entry, and select Start.

3 Re-run the Evidence Processing Engine installer.

If this does not resolve the issue, follow the instructions below to completely remove any remnants of a previous or failed Black Ice install. Then re-install the Evidence Processing Engine (EP) to trigger the Black Ice install.
