The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure

Postby TechnicalSupportTeam » Fri Sep 23, 2016 6:40 am

Problem:
Print2Email shows an error message about the certificate, when trying to setup an SMTP or Exchange email account for email sending.

Source of the problem:
This error message occurs, when the SMTP or Exchange server has no valid certificate installed.

Also, the same error message could occur if one tries to setup a different SMTP or Exchange Server name than the “Issued To” name on the certificate. For example, if the certificate is issued to mail.mydomain.com, then Print2Email must be configured to mail.mydomain.com for email sending.

Solution:
Make sure that the SMTP or Exchange Server configured in Print2Email is the same as the certificate “issued to” name.

Install a valid certificate on the SMTP or Exchange server, and try setup the email account in Print2Email again.
