Printer output while using Tiff plugin

I appear to be having a print-related problem with our installed version of the Black Ice Tiff Viewer (version 8.27). There are 5 users at this location and all experience the same issue:

They access a website where they need to view online Tiff images. The Black Ice Tiff viewer launches properly and displays the images on-screen with no trouble.

However when they print to any one of the various network printers (via a Windows Server 2008 print queue or directly to the printer's IP), they will receive double the number of copies they requested and the job will be collated even though they have not checked the "Collate" option within the print dialog box.

I have also printed the Tiff image using a PDF writer application and the resultant PDF experiences the same issues as the printed hardcopies. That is, double the number of copies and collated.

This behavior is consistent and repeatable at all times. The clients are running either IE7 or IE8 with all latest service packs and patches. The website is not accessible through Firefox so I was not able to test the Tiff viewer within that browser.
