Abort incomming fax if any error.

Postby dvdev » Wed Sep 01, 2004 8:51 pm

A beta site of ours is complaining that they receive faxes which are squished or chopped up. In looking at the fax there is in fact parts of the fax missing.. Whole lines of the received faxes are missing.

I suspect that the problem was that the card heard noise during parts of the transmission and simply discarded the data during that part of the transmission.

Is there a way of telling the driver if it receives noise on the line to abort the recieve so the sending machine will simply reschedule the fax.?

Details:
Board Type: mainpine
Init string: AT&FE0V1&K3&C1&D2S0=0
Error correction is enabled.

Make sure that the ECM (error correction) is indeed used. It is possible that the receiver end does not support ECM, and does not report to the sending side that an error occured.

If you are still experiencing problems, send us an email to techsupport@blackice.com with a detailed description of the issue. Please include in your email information such as what is the SENDING hardware, fax class, what is the RECEIVING hardware, fax class, etc. Also send us the log files generated by Fax C++.
