WHAT IS THE TRM_RESENDPAGE MEANS

The 249 error code is Page Resent 3 times or TRM_RESENDPAGE. There is a bug in the T.30 protocol. If a page transmission fails, the reciver can request a resend from the sender. Page transmission can fail if the end of page PPS-EOP frame is not recieved by the receiver from the sender even though the sender sent the PPS-EOP frame. The reciever will request a resend. Once again the sender sends the page with the PPS-EOP frame but the receiver will not receive the PPS-EOP frame and again request a resend. The receiver will not receive the PPS-EOP frame if there is a timing problem between the two modems.
We put a 3 times limit to a page resend, otherwise resend can go on forever. If you receive this error you could be 99% sure that the receiver did receive the page. There is no solution to this problem other than changing modems.
