We've purchased fax server 8.11 for almost one year. We prefer the stand alone client because of its flexible annotation tools. But very often it will not work when choosing "Impact Stand Alone Client" as a default printer and printing from any applications.
When the problem occurs, the printing job will be finished successfully. But the fax will not pop up in the stand alone client.
We just found the solution recently. The problem will be solved if we close most of our running big applications, like Outlook, Adobe Createive Suit, Autocad, etc. I guess these applications occupy a lot of ram. If we open only one or two applications, the printing will always successfully pop up the fax in the stand alone client waiting to be sent out.
But what I don't understand is that the other applications run well and smoothly. Machines running Windows 7, XP or 2000 are the same.
Is there some memory control problem in the stand alone client? How should we solve it without closing other softwares?
