When trying to install the Black Ice printer driver we get..

When trying to install the Black Ice printer driver we get the following error: "Error in function dAddPrinter, Parameter: Error code: 1801"


According to MSDN the error 1801 is "The printer name is invalid.". If you are using your own installation, make sure that the printer name contains only valid characters and that it does not exceed a 32 character length.

It is also possible that a previous version of the printer driver was installed to that particular system, and the previous version was not removed correctly (the uninstall was cancelled or has failed).
