I have IE and Firefox and have problems with AutoPrint

Postby TechnicalSupportTeam » Wed Mar 22, 2006 3:21 pm

I have IE and Firefox 1.5.0.1 on my system. I am able to get this to work on a Win2K Workstation, just not on my XP Pro SP2 system

Answer:

If you want to print HTM or HTML files with AutoPrint, Microsoft Internet Explorer must be installed on the system, and Microsoft Internet Explorer has to be the default browser. If you use another browser for example Mozilla Firefox, you have to set Microsoft Internet Explorer to the default browser before using the AutoPrint sample. The AutoPrint sample relies on the default browser ActiveX control to do the printing.

How to set Microsoft Internet Explorer as the default browser on XP:

1. Open Control Panel
2. Open "Add or Remove Programs"
3. Click on "Set Program Access and Defaults"
4. Select "Custom" radio button
5. Select "Internet Explorer" radio button in the "Choose the default web browser" section.
6. Click OK button.
