Generate output in memory

Use the Generate output in memory option to generate the image file in memory instead of creating a file on the disk. The printer driver creates the file in memory and then passes the data to the user’s application, which can save or process the image. To capture the generated output file in memory, one can use the Memory Image Capture Sample in the Resource Toolkit. This feature is designed for system integrators to capture printed outputs directly into a database, bypassing the local storage (file system). This option is available for the following file formats:

·         DIB (Bitmap)

·         TIFF LZW

·         TIFF Group 3 1D

·         TIFF for Dialogic Boards

·         TIFF Group 3 1D No EOL

·         TIFF for NMS Boards

·         TIFF Group 3 2D

·         TIFF for Gammalink Boards

·         TIFF Group 4

·         TIFF JPEG

·         TIFF Uncompressed

·         TIFF for CISCO

·         TIFF Packed

·         EMF

When this option is enabled, the printer driver does not generate a group file, and the text extraction and mail merge features are also disabled.
