Failed Licensing of the TIFF Viewer Release (purchased version)

 

If the serial number is mistyped  or the serial number is incorrect, the following message will appear. Click Yes to enter the serial number again:

 

 

Tiff Viewer requires an internet connection to register with the Black Ice Software License Server.  In a secured environment where servers and computers do not have an active Internet connection or Port 80 is being blocked* by a firewall or in virtual machines where the network card is disabled, the following error message will come up during the registration attempt:

 

 

In this case the software can be manually registered online with using the Release License Key Request page by clicking Manual Registration Page link on the dialog. Please follow the instructions on the page. A release license number will be generated immediately.

Paste the release license number to the “Your license number” field and hit OK. If registration is successful the following message will appear:

 

 

Alternatively, contact Black Ice Software via impact@blackice.com or impactsupport@blackice.com or via telephone with the number displayed in the “Your Registration Code:” field.  Black Ice Software will provide a Release License code via email for to paste into the “Your License Number (from the reseller):” field to activate the software.

 

Port 80 is being blocked*: If port 80 is blocked or not available, one can register using alternate ports of 3500 or 15000.
