Registering Print2RDP Using a Custom Port

When registering, the Print2RDP Server tries to communicate with the Black Ice License Server on port 80. Corporate security policies or firewall settings might prevent registering on port 80. In this case, Print2RDP can also perform online registration through a custom port.

The custom port number can be defined in the Print2RDPServerSetup.ini file, by setting the following port values:

Server Port 3=

Client Port 3=

Server Port refers to the port the Black Ice License Server monitores for incoming requests. Client Port refers to the port the Print2RDP Server monitores for incoming registration messages. During registration Print2RDP Server sends registration info out on the Server Port to the Black Ice License Server. Black Ice License Server sends back the registration messages to the Print2RDP on the Client Port. When choosing to register on a custom port, in most cases, these two ports are the same.

Additionally, please contact Black Ice Software via impact@blackice.com or impactsupport@blackice.com, or via telephone to adjust its License Server accordingly.
