There are four ways to send a fax through the Impact Fax Server.
The Web Client – The web client is good for users who need to send faxes from a computer without having to install any additional software onto the computer. The web client acts like a web page, receiving all of the needed information from the computer where the Impact Fax Server is located through your computer network to send the fax information to the server where it is then sent out as a fax from the Impact Fax Server.
The Outlook Client – The Impact Fax Server Outlook Client is integrated with Microsoft Office Outlook. This clients benefits are that contacts already entered into the Outlook client can also be used as fax contacts. While having the Outlook Client open, the user can create a new faxmail as easily as a new email and the new faxmail is added to the Outbox. When a Send/Receive occurs, the faxmail is sent to the specified Fax Server and the email is sent to the appropriate contacts. The Outlook client can be found and installed from the same installation file which is used to install the Impact Fax Server.
The Standalone Client – The standalone client is good for those who do not already use Microsoft Outlook for their email or for those who do not wish to mix their fax accounts with their email accounts. The standalone client can be found and installed from the same installation file which is used to install the Impact Fax Server.
Any Email Client – Any email client can be used to send and receive faxes with the Impact Fax Server.
