The Cover Page Generator is included as part of the Impact Fax Client. You can open the utility by selecting the Cover PageàTemplate Editor option from the Tools menu. This will allow you to select an existing cover page template to open or you can type in a new file name. The main Cover Page Template Editor window will then be displayed:

You can zoom in and out of the page using the zoom buttons on the toolbar.
To start from a blank template, click on the New button. Otherwise, you may edit the sample template. Several options exist in the template editor.
Options under the “Insert” menu item
1. Image: This option allows you to add imaformat (files with a .tif or .bmp extension) to your cover page. Click on Image and browse to the desired file, click on the file name and click Open. Draw a box in the template editor with the mouse and the image will be inserted. You can then click on the image and drag it to the correct position on the template or resize it. Please Note: Adding images can slow down the overall speed of a fax transmission. The more graphic intensive the page is, the longer the transmission page.
2. Field Text: This option allows you to add text boxes to your cover page. Click on the Field Text button and draw your text box on the cover page.
If you double click the Field Text object, a setup dialog box appears. You can see the ID of the object, and you can assign a Title and a Type for the object. The ID and the Title are not necessary for future processing, but the Type is very important. The Field Text boxes will be filled with the data retrieved from the Phone Book. You should create at least one or more Field Text boxes on the cover page template, if you want to send a customized cover sheet to each fax recipient. The following values can be found in the Type field and are used to add custom information to each cover page:
