You can use the Impact Fax Server to email a document rather than faxing it. The document is attached to the email and sent as a TIFF file attachment. Sending the document via email is very similar to faxing. However, there are a few differences. Please follow the steps below:
1. Create or open the document that you want to send.
2. Select the File menu item and select Print. A dialog box similar to the following will appear:

Select the Impact Client printer driver that you are using (this example is using the Stand Alone printer driver) from the list of printers in the drop down list and press OK.
3. The document will then be converted into a TIFF file and the fax client window will be launched with the document attached:
Normally a fax number is entered into the To field. If you want to send the document as an email you need to enter a valid email address. Fill in the Subject and From fields and enter in any comments (these fields are optional). Press the Send icon when you are finished and the document will be emailed.
4. When the recipient receives the email, the document will be attached as a TIFF file. Please note: The recipient will need a TIFF Viewer to open and view the attachment. You can use the Black Ice Software TIFF Viewer or a third party TIFF Viewer.
